Casino boat’s operations prohibited

The General Administration of Ports and Marine denied, due to the request of the Government Secretary, to the Caliente company, that belongs to Hank Ron, the request to operate a casino boat in the dock of the Ensenada.

Caliente had the intention of operating from the dock, and the access to it would have been through the tourist walker, although the federal authorities declined the permission.

The criteria to get a permission to gamble on boats, are defined in a document where it is explained that casino games are forbidden by Mexican laws, being them cards, roulette or craps.

On the second article of the mentioned law, it is clarified that it is only allowed to play on ships chess, checkers, bowling, pool, races and some other sports as well. However, it is pointed out that the games that are not mentioned as allowed, will be forbidden.

Finally, the seventh article of this law says that: “there can only be done, operated or organized games with bets and draws, with the previous written permission issued by the Government’s Secretary”.
